This action aims at encouraging top class researchers from third countries to work on research projects in Europe, with a view to developing mutually beneficial research co-operations between Europe and third countries.
Researchers from third countries in possession of a doctoral degree and with at least 4 years full-time equivalent research experience after obtaining the degree which allows them to embark on a doctorate (it is however expected that researchers will have more experience). Which research topics are supported
Proposals from all areas of scientific and technological research of interest to the European Union are welcome.
Proposals are submitted by the researcher in liaison with the organisation that will host her/him in a Member State or Associated Country and evaluated by external independent experts against a series of predetermined criteria. Funding includes a salary for the researcher and a contribution towards research-related costs.
The Call for proposals for this action will be launched on the 14th of March, 2013.
Deadline for application submission is the 14th of August 2013, 17:00 Brussels local time (16:00 hours in Lisbon).
