ICPerMed - International Consortium for Personalized Medicine

The International Consortium for Personalized Medicine was born in 2016 during several workshops organized by the European Commission dedicated to this topic. This consortium aims to provide a flexible framework for cooperation between its member organizations, with the ultimate goal of promoting and coordinating research as a driving force for the implementation of personalized medicine.

ICPerMed is joined by more than 40 funding organizations from 27 European countries and beyond. Members include public and private non-profit research funding and policy organizations. Other organizations or initiatives may join ICPerMed's stakeholder group.

Portugal is represented in this consortium by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, and by the National Institute of Health Doutor Ricardo Jorge (INSA), of the Ministry of Health.

This initiative has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement no. 964197.
