EMB - European Marine Board
O European Marine Board (EMB) Its mission is to develop common positions between European organizations that carry out and fund research in marine sciences on scientific strategies and priorities for this area, thereby facilitating and promoting collaboration between the marine sciences sector and other socio-economic agents. The lines of action of this European organization are based on four pillars: Forum, Synergies, Strategy and Voice.
EMB publications are developed for a non-technical target audience, providing recommendations for future research and capacity building in the field of marine sciences and technologies that can be addressed by European and national funding mechanisms.

FCT Involvement:
- Annual financial contribution;
- Involvement and support of national experts in working groups aimed at publishing joint position papers on scientific strategies and priorities;
