The International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) organizes an ERC Info Session on the 20 November, 9:30 GMT. This online session is open to all researchers interested in learning more about the European Research Council (ERC) grants and how to prepare a successful ERC Application.
The Portuguese Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, and the Spanish Minister for Science, Innovation and Universities, Pedro Duque, will do the honours and welcome the info session.
The event continues with the Spanish and Portuguese National Contact Points for ERC, that will provide information on how to apply for ERC grants, followed by a panel of ERC evaluators and grant holders, that will share their experience in writing successful applications. Closing the event, participants will have the opportunity to address the National Contact Points and the ERC panel in a Q&A session.
About the ERC
The European Research Council, created by the European Union in 2007, is the premier European funding organisation for excellent frontier research. Every year, it selects and funds the very best, creative researchers of any nationality and age, to run projects based in Europe. The ERC offers four core grant schemes: Starting, Consolidator, Advanced and Synergy Grants. With its additional Proof of Concept grant scheme, the ERC helps grantees to bridge the gap between grantees' pioneering research and early phases of its commercialisation.
