CIÊNCIAVITAE turns one

CIÊNCIAVITAEis to be congratulated and so are its users. Since September 2018, nearly 21,000 curricula have been created. On this first anniversary of the new curriculum management platform, we review some of the figures from the last 365 days and also look to the future.

The platform's 20,807 users per month registered an average of 22,320 scientific articles, 4,112 projects and 1,060 institutions.

Since the beginning of 2019, applicants for FCT funding can choose to associate their CIÊNCIAVITAECV with their application. Since then, this association has been possible in 7 Calls, with 34% of the associated CVs being CIÊNCIAVITAECVs.

The new curriculum management platform has been widely promoted through more than 59 presentation sessions. For the past year, the CIÊNCIAVITAEteam has been traveling around the country, visiting various institutions in person to promote the platform. In addition to the 27 face-to-face sessions that took place in 13 cities, there were also 32 webinar sessions in Portuguese and English. These actions have been well received by the community, with a rating of 4.5 on a scale of 1 to 5. There were more than 1,300 participants from 111 institutions, and the number will continue to rise.

CIÊNCIAVITAEis a unique, personalized, simple, harmonized and structured curriculum, hosted at http://cienciavitae.pt. It brings together information on the user, whether student, researcher or institution, which is currently scattered across multiple platforms, such as FCT-SIG CV, DeGóis, RENATES, REBIDES, ORCID and RCAAP.

CIÊNCIAVITAEis developed by the FCT on the basis of the DeGóis platform, in conjunction with the PTCRIS technical and regulatory framework, and can be used by all national science and higher education institutions that choose to join.
