FCT at Futurália under the slogan “Is Research Your Thing?”
Futuralia is the largest national Education and Training Fair, held this year from March 16 to 19 at FIL-Feira Internacional de Lisboa, and FCT was represented for the first time at this event at the invitation of PO CH-Programa Operacional Capital Humano(Human Capital Operational Program).
The participation of FCT, under the slogan "Is Research Your Thing?", was ensured by researchers and doctoral programs, representing the support given by FCT to Advanced Training—doctorates and post-doctorates—through Studentships the financing of doctoral programs, both co-financed by PO CH.

The theme of Digital Employability was also promoted by FCT, through the participation of partners from CPED (Portuguese Coalition for Digital Employability), namely ANPRI (National Association of Computer Science Teachers), CDI Portugal, Academia de Código, and the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém. These partners in the coalition coordinated by FCT publicized the opportunities that the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) sector represents for future career development, as well as for the growth of the national digital economy.
The FCT's presence at Futurália had the following objectives: to inform students about the academic paths that lead to a PhD, namely which courses, in Portugal or abroad, how to identify a supervisor and project, or obtain funding; illustrate the multiple career opportunities for PhDs: research, industry, entrepreneurship, science management, or consulting; and publicize the potential and opportunities of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) training for first jobs and/or retraining.

More than three dozen doctoral and postdoctoral students volunteered to collaborate on this initiative with FCT, serving as spokespersons and sharing testimonials and experiences about their academic, professional, and even personal journeys with the students, teachers, and parents who visited Futurália.
The FCT's presence also included collaboration with the Games for Media and Information Literacy project of the UT-Austin Portugal Program and several doctoral programs, which had the opportunity to promote initial contact with high school students before they entered higher education. The following programs were represented:
