Accessibility and Usability Statement

The Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. undertakes to make available the website institutional websitein accordance with Decree-Law no. 83/2018, of October 19, which transposes Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications.

I. Compliance Status

The website institutional website ofthe Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. is fully compliant with Decree-Law no. 83/2018 of October 19.

II. Preparation of this Accessibility and Usability Statement

According to article 9 of Decree Law No. 83/2018, entities must adopt the following monitoring procedures. Procedures A) and B) are mandatory. Procedure C) is recommended.

A. Automatic evaluations carried out

    • Sample: 58 pages.
    • Main results (summary): A total of 58 pages were given an average score of 9.6 on the AccessMonitor scale(1-10) with the following compliance levels obtained: 100% of pages pass the battery of tests for level A and level AA and none currently pass level AAA.

B. Manual evaluations carried out:

IV. Other Evidence

The Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. has not presented, when filling out this Declaration, other evidence or efforts to make its website compliant with the accessibility requirements contained in Decree Law No. 83/2018, of 19 October.

V. Reporting situations of discrimination

According to article 13, no. 1 of Decree Law no. 83/2018, of October 19, whenever a person with disabilities is subject to less favorable treatment than that which is, has been or will be given to another person in a comparable situation, which constitutes a discriminatory practice against persons with disabilities, provided for and punished under article 4 of Law no. 46/2006, of August 28, that person may file a complaint, in accordance with the provisions of Decree Law no. 34/2007, of February 15.

The National Institute for Rehabilitation (INR, I.P.), provides a form to report situations of discrimination, forwarding complaints to the competent entities. Each year, INR, I.P. prepares an annual report on the application of the law that prohibits and punishes discrimination on the grounds of disability and aggravated health risk (Law No. 46/2006, August 28).
