Welcome to the new FCT website

FCT has a new website with a new structure and content layout. The official launch took place this week, marking the end of the transition period that began in May this year, when a beta version was available online.

The FCT website is the institution's main channel of communication with the scientific community and the general public, and is consulted by approximately half a million users per year. This portal seeks to meet the needs of all its users and is an extremely important tool for the FCT to continue its mission.

In building this new website, we sought to implement a more comprehensible information architecture that would allow for greater fluidity in navigation, so that users can easily and quickly find the relevant content that interests them. A more modern and appealing graphic design was developed, respecting the corporate identity of FCT, which also gained a new logo this year.

As for the old FCT website, it was discontinued on December 20, 2022, but will remain temporarily accessible via the following alternative address: https://former.fct.pt/. It will subsequently be preserved by FCT's Arquivo.pt, where its entire history will be stored.
