Call 2023/2024 for European Water4All partnership projects

The co-funded European Partnership Water4All, in which the FCT participates as a funding body, has launched the second Joint Transnational Call (CTC) to fund transnational research and innovation projects.

The 2023/2024 Call, themed "Aquatic Ecosystem Services", involves 36 European and international funding institutions, and is composed the following topics:

  • Mapping, monitoring, and assessment for a better understanding of ecosystem services in a context of changes, from local to global change;
  • Understanding and predicting multiple pressures (including anthropogenic pressures) - impact - response relationships in ecosystem services through advanced methods and techniques;
  • New tools and solutions for better integration of ecosystem services into the management of water resources.

Pre-proposals can be submitted until 16:00 PM (mainland Portugal time) on 13 November 2023.

Furthermore, a webinar will be organised for all potential CTC candidates on 5 October 2023, at 12:30 PM (mainland Portugal time).

Co-funded under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, Water4All - Water Security for the Planet 2022-2027 aims to pool efforts, mobilise resources and strengthen European leadership and competitiveness in water research and innovation. This partnership brings together more than 80 partners from 31 countries in the European Union and beyond, including the European Commission and Portugal, represented by FCT, the Lisbon International Centre for Water (LIS-Water), the National Civil Engineering Laboratory (LNEC) and the University of Évora (UEvora).
