Awarding diplomas to Fulbright grantees

On July 17, at the Embassy of the United States of America, a ceremony was held to receive and award diplomas to Fulbright grantees, within the scope of partnerships between Fulbright Portugal and Portuguese institutions. During the event, the Ambassador of the United States and the Executive Director of Fulbright Portugal made brief speeches on the significance of these Studentships in the context of relations between Portugal and the United States and their relevance in the context of scientific diplomacy of both countries.

The Foundation for Science and Technology is a partner of this program of Studentships having funded, in this edition, 18 doctoral students, who will begin their studies in American universities in the next academic year. The ceremony was attended by the FCT Board, represented by Maria Paula Diogo, who received from Otília Reis the institutional thanks for the long-standing collaboration with Fulbright.
