Diploma ceremony for Fulbright scholars

On July 17, the U.S. Embassy hosted a reception and diploma ceremony for Fulbright scholars, as part of the partnerships between Fulbright Portugal and Portuguese institutions. During the event, the U.S. Ambassador and the Executive Director of Fulbright Portugal gave brief speeches on the significance of these Studentships context of relations between Portugal and the United States and their relevance in the field of scientific diplomacy for both countries.

The Foundation for Science and Technology is a partner in this Studentships program, having funded 18 doctoral students in the current edition, who will begin their studies at American universities in the next academic year. The ceremony was attended by the FCT Board, represented by Maria Paula Diogo, who received institutional thanks from Otília Reis for the long-standing collaboration with Fulbright.
