ERA-Chemistry

FCT is a member of the ERA-Chemistry network (2004-2009). Fourteen European funding agencies joined forces to set up this network in the field of chemistry under the European Commission's ERA-Net scheme. ERA-Chemistry aims to promote a bottom-up approach to the implementation of the European Research Area for chemistry research, overcoming national, formal, and scientific barriers. The network's mission is to identify areas of cutting-edge research and encourage European chemists to initiate and/or strengthen transnational cooperation in order to maximize existing synergies in Europe. ERA-Chemistry is a partner in this task of the Presidents and Directors of the European Research Councils in Chemistry (CERC3).
