ERASynBio
FCT participated in ERA-NET in synthetic biology ERASynBio (2012-2015), a network of 16 partners coordinated by JUELICH, Germany.
The main objective of ERASynBio was to promote and robustly develop synthetic biology by structuring and coordinating national efforts and investment.
ERASynBio launched two joint Calls in 2013 and 2014, funding 15 projects. None of these projects involved Portuguese participation. The ERASynbio initiative continued in a sustainable manner and in 2017 joined forces with ERA-NET Cofund in Biotechnology (CoBioTech).
