FENCO – Fossil Energy Coalition
FCT is a member of the FENCO network (2005-2009), a project involving 19 European funding agencies from 14 countries, which seeks to identify best practices as a basis for the cooperation needed to implement the European Research Area (ERA).
This project is specifically dedicated to promoting transnational cooperation between research funding agencies in carbon capture and storage. Contributing simultaneously to the European Union's strategy, this project will enable funding agencies to share existing activities, compare future strategies and recommendations from advisory bodies, and systematically explore opportunities for future collaborations.
As the main mechanism for validating cooperation efforts between various funding agencies, Calls for research projects are one of the main objectives of ERA-NETs.
