European Marine Board (EMB) seeks Young Ambassadors

The European Marine Board (EMB), a pan-European think tank working at the interface between marine science and policy, of which FCT is a member, has aYoung Ambassadors Program, consisting of four ambassadors from EMB member organizations. In this context, it recently opened a Call applications for two new EMB Young Ambassadors, with applications open until February 26, 2023.

The start date is scheduled for April 2023 and the term of office will be two years, ending in spring 2025, after which the Ambassadors will join the Young Ambassadors Alumni program.

To perform their duties, ambassadors receive a Studentship 000 Studentship distributed over the two years of the program and an additional budget of up to €3,000 to cover costs related to events, travel, and communications.

Through this program, EMB Youth Ambassadors work with the EMB Secretariat to help promote marine sciences (natural and social) and ocean-related topics, as well as other EMB activities in particular, among their peers. The ambassadors gain access to and knowledge of the European marine and ocean science policy landscape, while EMB gains valuable insights and the ability to reach new audiences in other formats.
