FCT signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute for Financial Management and Justice Equipment

On December 19, the FCT signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Financial Management and Equipment of Justice (IGFEJ), which aims to create conditions for increased research in the fields of Justice.

The aim of this Memorandum of Understanding is to promote the enhancement of highly qualified employment, the training of human resources and the development of R&D (Research and Development) projects, with a view to fostering development and scientific and technological cooperation through greater coordination between higher education institutions, research centers and the justice sector. This Memorandum of Understanding is part of a broader strategy to link the FCT with other areas of government, creating synergies to promote research activities and technological development.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the event "Technology at the Service of Justice", which took place at the Campus da Justiça, and was attended by the Secretary of State for Justice, Pedro Tavares, the Minister for Justice, Catarina Sarmento e Castro, and the Minister for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Elvira Fortunato.

The FCT was represented by President Madalena Alves, who signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the FCT and the IGFEJ, by Francisco Santos, Vice-President, who took part as a speaker on the panel "Potential and Impact of New Technologies on the Activity of Justice", and by António Bob Santos, Member of the Board of Directors".
