The European Commission recently adopted the second strategic plan for Horizon Europe, which sets out key strategic guidelines for EU research and innovation funding for the last three years of the program (2025-2027).
On April 17, the 2023-2024 work programs were also updated, including new funding opportunities that extend to 2025.
The ERC work program will be published in the next 3 months. The new work programs for the Pillar of Scientific Excellence (Pillar I) and Widening & ERA (WIDERA) are now available for consultation at the following links:
Regarding the Calls added to the WIDERA programme, and focusing on the part dedicated to the European Research Area (ERA Part of the WIDERA Programme), the European Commission is organizing an information session on April 22, from 09:00 to 11:30 (mainland Portugal time). This session requires no registration and will be live-streamed here.
Through its national contact points for Horizon Europe, FCT will also be organizing an information session on April 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., which will cover various topics related to Pillar I and the WIDERA program. Register for the session here.
FCT ensures national representation and coordination of the promotion of research and innovation activities in Pillar I and Horizontal Activity(Widening) of Horizon Europe (2021-2027).
