AMPERA

The objectives of AMPERA:
- Establish priorities in transdisciplinary research on accidental marine pollution.
- Improve the link between research on accidental marine contamination and prevention and mitigation activities, to support and emphasize the role of sound knowledge in decision-making.
- Improve the coordination of national/regional research programs on accidental marine pollution.
- Designing strategies to overcome barriers that hinder transnational cooperation, with a view to opening up national/regional programs.
- Launch long-term RTD strategies, identifying synergies and complementarities that will serve as nuclei for sustainable cooperation between partners and improve the use of R&D results.
- Dissemination of knowledge at different levels, emphasizing the science-public interface and the importance of adopting this approach for society as a whole.
