URBAN-NET

FCT is a member of URBAN-NET (2006-2010), a project involving 15 European funding agencies from 12 countries and UN-HABITAT, seeking to identify best practices as a basis for the cooperation needed to implement the European Research Area (ERA). psss

This project is especially dedicated to promoting transnational cooperation between research funding agencies in sustainable urban development. While contributing to the European Union strategy, this project will allow funding agencies to share existing activities, compare future strategies and recommendations from advisory bodies to systematically explore opportunities for future collaborations.

As the main mechanism for validating the cooperation effort between the various funding agencies, transnational Calls for research projects is one of the main objectives of ERA-NETs.
