URBAN-NET

FCT is a member of the URBAN-NET network (2006-2010), a project involving 15 European funding agencies from 12 countries and UN-HABITAT, which seeks to identify best practices as a basis for the cooperation needed to implement the European Research Area (ERA). psss

This project is specifically dedicated to promoting transnational cooperation between funding agencies for research into sustainable urban development. While contributing to the European Union's strategy, this project will enable funding agencies to share existing activities, compare future strategies and recommendations from advisory bodies, and systematically explore opportunities for future collaborations.

As the main mechanism for validating cooperation efforts between various funding agencies, Calls for research projects are one of the main objectives of ERA-NETs.
