With its global headquarters in the UK and scientific infrastructures in Australia and South Africa, SKAO brings together countries from several continents in an unprecedented international collaboration in the fields of astronomy, fundamental physics, advanced computing and cutting-edge engineering.
Portugal is a Founding Member of SKAO and actively participates in the scientific and technological development of the infrastructure, through FCT and Portugal Space.
Through its participation in SKAO, Portugal is contributing to one of the most ambitious scientific projects of the 21st century and to consolidating a leading position in the field of space sciences and associated technologies.
