1st Scientists on Tour Conference - Health Marathon Awards

On December 12, the Health Marathon association is promoting the 1st Scientists on Tour Conference - Health Marathon Awards in Biomedical Research, to be held at the Thalia Theater in Lisbon, between 17:00 and 19:00. To attend the session, please register on the website.

This initiative has the support of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education and will be the first of four conferences for the public presentation of the 11 research projects, in various areas of biomedicine, that are being developed by the researchers who won the Health Marathon Awards, funded by civil society.

This first session will see the participation of five award-winning scientists who are developing their projects in the Lisbon region. Those who won the most recent editions will present the plan they intend to develop with the funding awarded by the prize, and those who are at a more advanced stage of the project will present the progress of their research. In addition to these guests, the session will feature testimonies from several life cases, in a round table that will promote a more direct involvement between patients and scientists, with the aim of creating an environment of hope based on biomedical research.

The Scientists on Tour conferences will also take place in Porto, Coimbra and Faro in the coming months, and the dates will be announced soon.
