1st edition of the João Monjardino Prize 2021
The deadline for submitting applications for the 1st edition of the João Monjardino Prize 2021 has been extended to 5 p.m. on October 12, 2021. The Call is promoted by FCT and the Francisco Pulido Valente Foundation (FFPV).
The prize, worth 10,000 euros (ten thousand euros), has the theme "Doctor-Patient Relationship: personalized medicine and/or narrative medicine?" and seeks to distinguish the best published article, without restricting the year of publication, describing the results of research carried out by a researcher under the age of 35 on the date of submission of the application, at an institution in the national scientific and technological system.
In March of this year, the FCT and the FFPV renewed their partnership protocol with a view to launching the new João Monjardino Prize 2021, which replaces the Pulido Valente Science Prize, which was last awarded in 2020.
In this way, both Foundations seek to continue supporting research and development activities in the area of Biomedical and Health Sciences, contributing to the encouragement and progression of knowledge on issues that are essential to improving health conditions and increasing the quality of human life.
