1st edition of the João Monjardino Award 2021

The deadline for submitting applications for the 1st edition of the João Monjardino Award 2021 has been extended until 5 p.m. on October 12, 2021. The Call promoted by FCT and the Francisco Pulido Valente Foundation (FFPV).

The prize, worth EUR 10,000 (ten thousand euros), has as its theme "Doctor-Patient Relationship: personalized medicine and/or narrative medicine?" and seeks to recognize the best published article, regardless of the year of publication, describing the results of research conducted by a researcher under the age of 35 at the time of application, at an institution within the national scientific and technological system.

In March of this year, FCT and FFPV renewed their partnership agreement with a view to launching this new João Monjardino Award 2021, which replaces the Pulido Valente Science Award, the last edition of which was held in 2020.

In this way, both Foundations seek to continue supporting research and development activities in the field of Biomedical Sciences and Health, contributing to the promotion and advancement of knowledge on topics that are essential to improving health conditions and enhancing the quality of human life.
