2nd Edition of NASA Internships for Portuguese Students

Applications are now open for the second edition of Call Studentships for Internships at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the USA (NASA), aimed at students of Portuguese nationality. Applications will be accepted until December 18 and aim to award up to six Studentships .

This internship program is carried out under a cooperation agreement signed in 2016 between the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Higher Education (MCTES), FCT, and NASA, which allowed Portugal to join the US space agency's International Internship Program.

Students who are pursuing a PhD or master's degree in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and who are developing academic work with a special focus on space, are eligible to apply for these Studentships . The internship opportunities encompass 18 NASA research projects that candidates can attend. Selected students will attend the internships between June and December 2018.

In the first edition of NASA's Call , six Portuguese students were selected. They are currently in the US and will complete their training period at the end of this year.
