2nd Call : 21 projects selected
The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the Aga Khan Foundation have announced the results of Call second Call , launched under the Protocol on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Higher Education and the Ismaili Imamat 2016. The results are available for consultation here.
This edition of Call to support new initiatives and collaborations between Portuguese, African, and AKDN scientific and academic research institutions, with the aim of developing international partnerships that contribute to strengthening research capacities, encouraging and strengthening scientific, technical, human, and social skills and capacities aimed at improving quality of life in Africa.
Of the 203 eligible applications submitted, 42 proceeded to the second stage of evaluation, with 21 applications from 13 African countries being proposed for funding. The projects supported under this Call a duration of 36 months and represent a total investment of €5 million.
Similar to the ongoing projects from Call 1st Call, the 21 projects will be monitored by an External Monitoring and Evaluation Committee to ensure the achievement of the proposed scientific results and the desired impact on the quality of life in the African countries involved.
