4th GDI Forum

The Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco will host the 4th GDI Forum on November 16, 2018.

The initiative seeks to promote ideas, emerging initiatives, projects, and best practices to support research data management, bringing together managers of digital repositories and data centers, information technicians, libraries, data archives and data curators, computer specialists, researchers, data scientists, and science managers from research institutions, science funding agencies, and others. The objective is to stimulate and mobilize the community of professionals and researchers who work in this area, encouraging the development of skills and the capitalization of knowledge and experience.

The program includes “Flash Talks,” for which proposals can be submitted until September 10. In these talks, participants can learn more about initiatives, best practices, and projects associated with the support of research data management.

The 4th GDI Forum is organized by the Secretary of State for Science, Technology, and Higher Education, by FCT-Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (Foundation for Science and Technology), through its FCCN unit, and by the University of Minho. The forum integrates the National Policy for Open Science and the activities of RCAAP.
