DNS.pt Association starts work next June

Formally set up on May 14, the DNS.pt Association aims to manage, operate and maintain the registration of the top-level domain corresponding to Portugal (.pt), independently and autonomously. Luísa Lopes Gueifão heads the private non-profit association, which is continuing the work carried out by the Foundation for National Scientific Computation (FCCN), after its integration into the FCT.

The founders of the DNS.PT Association are the FCT, the Association of Electronic Commerce and Interactive Advertising (ACEPI), the Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection (DECO) and the representative appointed by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) as responsible for the ccTLD.pt delegation.
