Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program Studentships
FCT has opened the Call the award of six Studentships under the Carnegie Mellon Portugal (CMU Portugal) Program for the 2019/2020 biennium. The Call open until December 31, 2018, in accordance with the specific admission deadlines for each of the PhD programs.
Studentships are dual degrees – the doctorate is awarded by Carnegie Mellon University and the partner university in Portugal. Application deadlines vary depending on the field: Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, and Spoken Language Technologies have open applications until December 10, Engineering and Public Policy until December 15, and Electrical and Computer Engineering until December 31.
The Studentships for one year and may be renewed for up to a maximum of five years. The FCT funds a maximum of three years, during which time researchers carry out their doctoral work in Portugal, and Carnegie Mellon University funds the remaining period. The Studentships scheduled to begin in September 2019.
