Technological Studentships for Associate Engineers at CERN

The Call applications Studentships TechnologicalStudentships Associate Engineers at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) is open until February 9. This Call, which is being held under a protocol between FCT and CERN, aims to provide young Portuguese researchers with the opportunity to undertake advanced training at this leading international scientific organization.

The Technological Internships for Associate Engineers at CERN are intended for candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree obtained less than 6 years ago, or with a doctorate obtained less than 3 years ago, in scientific and technological areas within CERN's fields of competence. Candidates must be fluent in English and the duration of Studentship one year, which may be extended to a maximum of two years, subject to approval by the FCT.

This training opportunity at CERN is part of the FCT Technology Internship Program for the advanced training of young Portuguese people in major international scientific organizations, which also includes the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and the European Space Agency (ESA). The aim of these internships is for candidates to develop a complementary training plan (on-the-job training) in strategic technological areas to increase the competitiveness of Portuguese companies.
