Studentships Portugal-UK Bilateral Research Fund (BRF) for doctoral graduates and PARSUK members

The Bilateral Research Fund (BRF) program, promoted annually by PARSUK (Portuguese Association of Students and Researchers in the United Kingdom), has opened applications for 9 Research Studentships , with the support of FCT in conjunction with the British Embassy Lisbon / UK Science and Innovation Network. Applications are open until April 29, 2022, until 5 p.m., and submission is made through this online form.

The Bilateral Research Fund (BRF) program was created in 2020 and aims to support the establishment and development of research links between universities and research institutes in the UK and Portugal. The initiative seeks to encourage the establishment of new partnerships that can boost collaboration between Portuguese and British research institutions, thus facilitating the transfer of knowledge about advances in science and technology between the two countries.

Early career researchers and PARSUK members, based at a research institution in Portugal or the UK, can apply for the available Studentships . The lead applicant must be based at a research institution in Portugal or the UK, and may have several co-investigators. However, at least one co-investigator must be based in the partner country. For example, if the lead applicant is based at a Portuguese research institution, then one co-investigator must be based at a British research institution.

Applications that are selected will be awarded a Studentship of up to €3,000.
