Bruno Navarro (1977-2021)
The Board of Directors of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) expresses its deepest sympathy at the untimely and sudden death of Bruno Navarro, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Côa Parque Foundation and member of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Scientific Culture - Ciência Viva.
Bruno Navarro collaborated intensively with the FCT in the launch of the "Côa Valley R&D Mobilization Program", having been one of the main driving forces behind the valorization of the Côa Valley region; in the reinforcement of scientific knowledge about the Côa Valley, as well as in the scientific dissemination of the knowledge potential generated by that region.
At this difficult time, the FCT Board of Directors sends its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, Ciência Viva and the Côa Parque Foundation.
Biographical note
Buno Navarro was born in Coimbra in 1977. He did his PhD at the Faculty of Science and Technology at NOVA University, where he was also a lecturer. He was a researcher at the Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology and at the History Center of the University of Lisbon. Since 2017, he has been chairman of the Board of Directors of the Côa Parque Foundation, which manages the Côa Valley Museum and Archaeological Park, and since September 2020 he has been a member of the Board of Ciência Viva. He died this Saturday, January 30, 2021.
