Bruno Navarro (1977–2021)
The Governing Board of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) expresses its deepest sorrow at the untimely and sudden death of Bruno Navarro, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Côa Parque Foundation and member of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Scientific Culture – Ciência Viva.
Bruno Navarrocollaborated intensively with the FCT in launching the "Mobilizing R&D Program on the Côa Valley," having been one of the main drivers behind promoting the Côa Valley region, strengthening scientific knowledge about the Côa Valley, and disseminating scientific information about the potential knowledge generated by that region.
The FCT Governing Board extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, to Ciência Viva, and to the Côa Park Foundation at this difficult time.

Biographical note
Buno Navarro was born in Coimbra in 1977 and obtained his PhD from the Faculty of Science and Technology at NOVA University, where he also taught. He was a researcher at the Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology and at the History Center of the University of Lisbon. Since 2017, he had been president of the Board of Directors of the Côa Parque Foundation, which manages the Museum and Archaeological Park of the Côa Valley, and since September 2020, he had been a member of the Board of Directors of Ciência Viva. He passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
