CEEC Institutional: final results announced

The final results of Call to Call Scientific Employment – Institutional (CEEC Institutional) have been announced. 58 scientific employment plans were approved, with a total of 400 contracts for PhD researchers and career advancement at universities, polytechnics, and other institutions.

After signing the program contracts between FCT and the selected institutions, the latter must begin implementing the approved plan within six months, during which time the hiring of researchers will begin. Calls the positions offered will be opened directly by the institutions, with financial support from FCT.

The approved plans include 221 contracts in the field of research careers, financed by FCT up to 100%, and academic careers, co-financed by FCT up to 50%, and employment contracts for researchers in various categories, fully financed by FCT, resulting in the following distribution of new contracts:

  • Junior researchers: 16%
  • Assistant researchers: 20%
  • Principal investigators: 8%
  • Coordinating researchers: 1%
  • Career Researchers: 13%
  • Career teachers: 42% 

The competitive selection process took place within the scope of the Scientific Employment Stimulus Program. The Institutional CEEC aims to promote scientific employment practices and future strategies developed by institutions or networks between institutions.
