Science 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of FCT

Registration for Ciência 2022 – Meeting with Science and Technology in Portugal is now open and will be held from May 16 to 18, 2022, at the Lisbon Congress Center (CCL). This year, the Science Meeting is part of the program of celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the FCT , a date that is being marked with numerous discussion and reflection sessions, decentralized across several cities in the country and with the active participation of the scientific community, focusing on important themes for the future of science in Portugal and in Europe.

The Science Meeting is the largest annual event in the area of science and technology in Portugal and is promoted by FCT, in collaboration with the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture – Ciência Viva, and with the institutional support of the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education and the Parliamentary Committee for Education, Science, Youth and Sports. The initiative relies on the active participation of national R&D institutions in the program – FCT R&D units, CoLABs, Associate Laboratories and State Laboratories – through scientific communications, demonstrations of R&D activities and posters by doctoral students.

The Science 2022 Commissioners are Teresa Pinto Correia, Researcher at Associate Laboratory Change and Full Professor at the University of Évora, and Teresa Ferreira, Researcher at the Associate Laboratory TERRA and Full Professor at the Higher Institute of Agronomy. The guest country for this edition is Egypt, which will also actively participate in the program.
