Science 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of FCT

Science 2022– Meeting with Science and Technology in Portugal is nowopenforregistrationand will take place from May 16 to 18, 2022, at the Lisbon Congress Center (CCL). This year, the Science Meeting is part of the program ofcelebrations for the 25th anniversary of the FCT, a date that is being marked with numerous discussion and reflection sessions, decentralized across various cities in the country and with the active participation of the scientific community, focusing on topics that are important for the future of science in Portugal and Europe.

The Science Meeting is the largest annual event in the field of science and technology in Portugal and is promoted by FCT, in collaboration with the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture – Ciência Viva, and with the institutional support of the Minister of Science, Technology, and Higher Education and the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science, Youth, and Sport. The initiative counts on the active participation of national R&D institutions—FCT R&D units, CoLABs, Associate Laboratories State Laboratories—through scientific communications, demonstrations of R&D activities, and posters by doctoral students.

The Science 2022 Commissioners are Teresa Pinto Correia, Researcher at Associate Laboratory and Full Professor at the University of Évora, and Teresa Ferreira, Researcher at the Associate Laboratory and Full Professor at the Higher Institute of Agronomy. The guest country for this edition is Egypt, which will also actively participate in the program.
