Call for joint Portugal-India 2020 IC&DT projects

FCT published today the call for applications for joint scientific research and technological development (IC&DT) projects between Portugal and India. The deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m. (Lisbon time) on July 31, 2020.

This Call, opened under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT I.P.) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST, India) in March 2019, aims to support joint IC&DT projects in the following scientific fields: Biotechnology; Energy; Environment; Sustainable Infrastructures; Climate Change; Disaster Management; Marine Science and Technology.

The aim of this initiative is to foster the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Indian and Portuguese researchers, developing scientific partnerships between research groups in the two countries through the creation and strengthening of research networks, strengthening bilateral cooperation in Science and Technology, and promoting the sharing of knowledge between Indian and Portuguese scientists.

The Call will support projects for a maximum period of 36 months, with a maximum funding limit of 100,000 euros for national teams, with the DST providing co-funding for Indian teams in return.

All applications must be submitted in English via the FCT R&D Project Calls Portal. The application form and support guide for filling in the form will be available very soon.
