Call of joint Portugal-India IC&DT 2020 projects

FCT published today the notice for submission of applications for joint projects of scientific research and technological development (IC&DT) between Portugal and India. The deadline for submission of applications runs until 17:00 (Lisbon time) on July 31, 2020.

This Call, opened under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT I.P.) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST, India) in March 2019, aims to support joint IC&DT projects in the following scientific domains: Biotechnology; Energy; Environment; Sustainable Infrastructures; Climate Change; Disaster Management; Marine Science and Technology.

This initiative aims to foster the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Indian and Portuguese researchers, developing scientific partnerships between research groups from both countries through the creation and strengthening of research networks, strengthening bilateral cooperation in Science and Technology, and promoting knowledge sharing between Indian and Portuguese scientists.

The Call will support projects for a maximum period of 36 months, with a maximum funding limit of 100 thousand euros for national teams, with the DST providing co-financing for teams from India.

All applications must be submitted in English through FCT's R&D Projects Portal Calls . The application form and the guide to support the completion of the form will be made available very soon.
