The Call for IC&DT Projects in all Scientific Fields is now open

FCT has today opened the Call for IC&DT Projects in all Scientific Domains. The period for submitting applications will run until March 10, 2021. The application form and the support guide for filling in the form are now available. Applications must be submitted in English using the electronic form on the Calls Portal.

This Call has a budget of 75 million euros and will support two types of projects:

• Scientific research and technological development projects (IC&DT), with a duration of 36 months and maximum funding per project of 250,000 euros, with an allocation of 60 million euros;
• Exploratory research projects (PeX), with a duration of 18 months and maximum funding per project of 50,000 euros, with an allocation of 15 million euros.

The introduction of these two types of projects is one of the new features of this year's Call for Projects in all Scientific Domains, a change that responds to suggestions from the scientific community. The annual Call for Projects in all Scientific Domains is part of the FCT's set of major structuring Calls , whose timetable, another of the commitments made by the FCT to the scientific community, is established until 2022 and published on the website.
