The first one is open Call Stimulating Institutional Scientific Employment

The Notice of the Call for the first competitive procedure for institutional support for the financing of 400 contracts for PhD researchers has been published. The form will be available on February 22nd, and registrations will be accepted until 5pm on March 22nd.

THE Call aims to support the development of R&D activities, consecrating and encouraging the hiring of PhD researchers by scientific institutions, through Calls annual reports addressed to these institutions or networks established by them, considering support for scientific employment plans and development of scientific careers by higher education institutions, State laboratories and other scientific institutions, public or private.

The support for the hiring of PhD researchers aims to support, deepen and specialize the exercise of scientific research, technological development and management and communication activities in S&T, aimed at the performance of scientific missions and challenges framed in the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda for 2030. It is also intended to stimulate scientific employment, through the hiring of PhD researchers to carry out research and technological development activities, within the institutional contexts that characterize the national scientific and technological system (STCN), including institutional cooperation in networks, as well as to strengthen the conditions for innovation and increased competitiveness of the productive, social and cultural fabric.

This competitive procedure, which has the scientific coordination of António Cunha and António Rendas, takes place under the Scientific Employment Regulation on the opening of Calls institutional support for scientific employment. Corresponds to the first Call opened within the scope of the Scientific Employment Stimulus Program referring to Calls institutional, which will be followed by the opening of a second Call until March 2019.
