Applications are now open for Summer with Science 2021

The FCT has opened applications for special support for “Summer with Science 2021.” Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. (Lisbon time) on July 23, 2021.

"Summer with Science" is a special grant awarded by the FCT for scientific and technological research activities in R&D units with a view to enhancing scientific and technological capacity and its relationship with higher education and society. This support aims to encourage initiation into scientific activity, thereby contributing to the promotion of scientific and technological culture and the dissemination and dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge among higher education students.

This program aims to support "Summer with Science" projects for scientific and technological research activities in R&D units, through the funding of Studentships research Studentships (Article 5 of Studentships Regulations) for in-person scientific research activities. This support is intended for R&D units that have been classified as Good, Very Good, or Excellent by the FCT in the 2017-2018 R&D Unit evaluation process.

This is the second edition of the Summer with Science initiative, which in 2020 funded 87 training activities at 22 institutions and 1,175 Studentships for research initiation and research as part of the special support promoted in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES).
