FCT and IGFEJ sign cooperation agreement
FCT and IGFEJ – Instituto de Gestão Financeira e de Equipamentos da Justiça (Institute for Financial Management and Justice Equipment) signed a cooperation protocol today, May 17. The partnership will allow FCCN to expand its network to one of the main commercial data centers in the country. In turn, it will provide support for the interconnection of two of the IGFEJ's data centers, as well as for the interconnection of these with the Traffic Exchange Point of the Public Administration, at ESPAP – Shared Services Entity of the Public Administration.
This partnership will allow FCT and IGFEJ to share resources, namely in the areas of communication and systems. At the signing ceremony, which took place at FCT, the president of the Foundation's Board of Directors, Paulo Ferrão, recalled that this protocol is "a good example of public cooperation." On the other hand, Nuno Fonseca, Director of IGFEJ's Support Services Department, welcomed the signing, stating that "there are many areas of mutual interest" to both institutions.
IGFEJ has the mission to manage the financial resources of the Ministry of Justice, manage the patrimony of this area, the infrastructure and the technological resources, as well as to propose the conception, execution, and evaluation of the computerization plans and projects, in articulation with other Ministry services and organisms.
