FCT has updated the value of Studentships for 2022

All Studentships covered by the FCT Studentships Regulations have been updated for 2022 with a €40.00 increase in the monthly maintenance allowance. This update is effective as of January 1, 2022, meaning that scholarship holders directly funded by the FCT will receive the retroactive amounts in their March payment.

This annual update of the monthly maintenance grants Studentships is based on the FCT Studentships Regulation, taking into account changes in the minimum guaranteed monthly remuneration (minimum wage) each year.

For 2022, the minimum wage has been set at €705.00, corresponding to an increase of €40.00 compared to the 2021 amount. At its meeting on January 31, 2022, the FCT Governing Board decided to set this amount for the update of Studentships, also deciding to apply it to all scholarship holders covered by the types of Studentships in previous regulations, whose Studentships still in progress in 2022.
