FCT – CERN 2017 Call open until July 27

The 2017 edition of Call Scientific Research and Technological Development Projects under the Cooperation Agreement between Portugal and the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) is open until July 27.

Through this Call, FCT aims to support scientific research and technological development projects associated with official scientific collaborations or those recognized by CERN, as well as technology-based projects in the field of applied sciences, in collaboration with activities supported by the same Laboratory.

The Call projects for a maximum period of 24 months (extendable for a maximum of 12 additional months in duly justified cases) and has a budget allocation of €1.5 million. Approved projects will be fully funded by national funds through the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Higher Education.

Preference will be given to projects associated with major long-term international collaborations or the use of CERN's experimental facilities, and to actions that promote the transfer of technology generated at CERN, or that aim to explore and implement experimental research and development projects, with business participation, in collaboration with CERN.
