FCT launches 2022 edition of the Arquivo.pt Award

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) has opened applications for the 2022 edition of the Arquivo.pt Award . As in previous years, this Call aims to reward innovative research work based on historical information preserved by the Arquivo.pt service and which highlights the importance of preserving and using information published on the web.

Works must use the search and access services made publicly available by Arquivo.pt and demonstrate the usefulness of the service.

Registration is open until May 4, 2022, for individual or group work on any topic. At the end, three prizes will be awarded. The first is worth R$10,000, the second is worth R$3,000 and, finally, the third is worth R$2,000.

Arquivo.pt preserves millions of files collected from the web since 1996 and provides a public search service for this information.
