FCT shares its experience and practices with Mozambique
FCT was present at the MoRENet Conference, the Cybersecurity Summit, and the 2nd seminar on Open Science, three events that took place recently in Maputo (Mozambique) from November 11 to 15. The aim of this participation was to share FCT's experience and practices in the areas of Open Science, Science Management, Security, and MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses). The fact that these events took place in the same week allowed for intense participation, targeting various audiences.
The Director of Advanced Services at FCT's Advanced Computing Unit, João Gomes, gave presentations on the topics "Nau Platform – Always Learning" and "Sharing the Experience of the Portuguese Academic and Scientific Network CERT ." The Director of Scientific Knowledge, João Mendes Moreira, presented the Open Science and science management initiatives in Portugal, and also gave a workshop on science management, which addressed the PTCRIS program, Ciência ID, and CIÊNCIAVITAE.
Mozambique is now the third country with the most registrations on Nau, after Portugal and Brazil.
This collaboration anticipates the spirit of the theme of the upcoming Portuguese Presidency of the EU, which will be Europe-Africa.
