New "Science Law" published in Diário da República

Today, May 16 and National Scientists' Day, the "Science Law" was published in the Official Gazette. This is Decree-Law no. 63/2019, which revises the legal framework for research and development (R&D) institutions and other players in the national science and technology system. It defines the general principles of evaluation and funding, and regulates the valorization, access and dissemination of knowledge.

This decree-law was submitted for public consultation and approved by the Council of Ministers on February 21, 2019.
