November is #SpaceTalks month
November is Space Month for everyone. Space Talks, an initiative promoted by the European Space Agency, will have us orbiting around space issues without ever leaving the ground. The initiative will bring together citizens, companies, institutions, and schools, inviting them to organize sessions in various formats with one common theme: space.
Anyone can be a Space Ambassador and organize a #SpaceTalk. All that is needed is to set a program and register it here. The organizer can use the materials available here to promote their Space Talk, with the help from FCT, which will publish the program on its website.
If you need inspiration, we suggest some topics: Space, what we can see, what we cannot see but know is out there, in which ways Space technologies can change our lives on Earth and why it is a passion for so many people. The sky is the limit (literally): from your living room to your company's auditorium, from a hands-on session to a conference. The main stars could (and will) be researchers, scientists, astronomers, or even astronauts, or even an amateur in love with space.
To take part in the events, visit the ESA website and search for initiatives around you. Registered participants can also win a trip to the European Space Port in Kourou, French Guiana, by participating in the #SpaceSelfie contest.
