New values for Studentships under the FCT Research Studentships Regulations

The research Studentships provided for in the FCT Research Studentships Regulations have new values. The Monthly Maintenance Allowance (SMM) has been updated based on the inflation rate in force, as determined by the State Budget Law for 2019.

With this update, Doctoral Studentships exceed 1,000 euros for the first time. The other Studentships have also had their values revised. The new SMM values can be consulted on the FCT website.

The update applies retroactively from January 1, 2019. For grantees directly funded by the FCT, the SMM update and retroactive payments will begin between March and May 2019.
