Portugal and Luxembourg strengthen bilateral scientific cooperation

On April 5, the FCT and Luxembourg's National Research Fund (FNR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding that promotes bilateral scientific cooperation between the two countries. The agreement between the FCT and the FNR makes it possible to support joint research between two countries that have had important socio-economic relations for decades.

Through this Memorandum, the research teams will be able to develop their joint projects in the fields of Materials Sciences, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Sustainable Resource Management, Innovation in Services and Societal Challenges. The FNR and FCT will finance the Luxembourg and Portuguese components of the approved applications, respectively, and in accordance with the financial practices of each institution.
