Portugal and Luxembourg strengthen bilateral scientific cooperation

On April 5, FCT and the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding promoting bilateral scientific cooperation between the two countries. The agreement between FCT and FNR thus supports joint research between two countries that have maintained important socioeconomic relations for decades.

Through this Memorandum, research teams will be able to develop their joint projects in the fields of Materials Science, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Sustainable Resource Management, Service Innovation, and Societal Challenges. The FNR and FCT will finance the Luxembourg and Portuguese components of the approved applications, respectively, in accordance with the financial practices of each institution.
