Draft Regulations for FCT Research Studentships

The public consultation on the FCT's Draft Regulation on Research Studentships is underway for a period of 30 working days, under the terms of article 7 of the Research Fellow Statute and article 4 of Decree-Law no. 123/2019, of August 28. Within the scope of public participation, and under the terms of article 100 of the CPA, interested parties should submit their suggestions to the FCT at consultapublica.rbi@fct.pt.

The recent Decree-Law no. 123/2019, of August 28, updated several provisions of the Research Fellow Statute (EBI), making it necessary, under the terms of article 4 of the EBI, to update the FCT Research Studentships Regulation, which regulates the selection, hiring and legal regime applicable to all research fellows, funded directly or indirectly by the FCT, and which had not been updated for more than 4 years. The changes introduced are intended to make the procedure more flexible and simplify its administrative process.
