Next Call for Projects in All Scientific Fields

Today, FCT published the Call for Applications for Call next Call Projects in all Scientific Fields. The application submission period will run from February 8 to March 10, 2022, and the Declaration of Commitment from applicants must be submitted by March 24, 2022.

The Call a budget allocation of €75 million and will support two types of projects:

– Scientific research and technological development (IC&DT) projects, with a duration of 36 months and maximum funding per project of €250,000. The budget allocation for this type of project is €55 million;

– Exploratory research projects (PeX), lasting 18 months and with maximum funding per project of €50,000. The budget allocation for this type of project is €20 million.

The two types of projects were introduced in last year's Call Projects, in line with suggestions from the scientific community. Held annually, the Call Projects in all Scientific Domains is part of the FCT's major Calls , whose schedule is set until 2023 and published on the website. The regularity and predictability of the major Calls one of the commitments made by the FCT to the scientific community, following the published schedule since 2019.

The application form and the guide to completing the form will be available on the Call page Call the opening day for applications, February 8. Applications must be submitted in English via the Calls Portal.

It should be noted that the results of Call Projects in all Scientific Domains for 2021 were announced by FCT last July. In this Call , 551 projects Call selected for funding, of which 256 were IC&DT Projects and 305 were PeX Projects.
