Next Calls Stimulating Individual and Institutional Scientific Employment

The FCT has published notices for the submission of applications for the next Calls to Stimulate Scientific Employment for the Individual and Institutional modalities. The two Calls correspond to the opening of 700 more vacancies for contracts with PhD researchers. These Calls Stimulate Scientific Employment are two funding instruments for hiring researchers introduced by the FCT in 2017, following the publication of Decree-Law no. 57/2016, and which aim to stimulate scientific and technological employment in all areas of knowledge.

Applications for the 4th edition of the Call Call Encourage Individual Scientific Employment (CEEC Individual) will run from January 29 to February 26, 2021, with 400 contract vacancies. CEEC Individual is an annual Call that directly supports the hiring of PhD researchers, in all scientific areas, who wish to carry out their scientific research or technological development activities in Portugal, in the institutions that make up the National Science and Technology System (SNCT).

Applications for the 2nd edition of the Call Stimulate Institutional Scientific Employment (CEEC Institucional) will run from March 11 to April 16, 2021 and the Call offers 300 contract vacancies. The Institutional CEEC is a biennial Call aimed at institutions to support the development of R&D activities through the hiring of doctoral researchers, namely in careers.

Together, the four editions of the CEEC Individual and the two editions of the CEEC Institutional total 2,200 vacancies for contracts with doctoral researchers. In both Calls, FCT finances contracts for up to 6 years.
