This is the result of the first Call a program with two editions, determined by a protocol established between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES), the Ministry of Culture and the Serralves Foundation, which made it possible to carry out this integrated and multidisciplinary research program around the work of Álvaro Siza Vieira. In 2021, the FCT will publish the call for proposals for the second edition of this Call.
This program, aimed at projects within the scope of Álvaro Siza Vieira's architecture, is intended to contribute to the creation of a solid body of multidisciplinary knowledge around the work of the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, through the development of research in the different disciplines that make up his career and work, namely by exploring the archives he donated and which are kept at the Serralves Foundation, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Canadian Centre for Architecture, which have agreed to use them.
