Save the date > Scientific Computing Conference 2019

The Scientific Computing Conference is already recognized as the main annual meeting point for all those involved in providing advanced infrastructure and services for the higher education and research community.

Over the course of three days, learn more about the areas of activity of the FCT Scientific Computing Unit: CONNECTIVITY, COMPUTING, COLLABORATION, KNOWLEDGE, and SECURITY. Participate, collaborate, and influence our activities by attending presentations, plenary sessions, working meetings, and workshops. 

Infrastructures (e.g., RCTS or Eduroam) and advanced services (e.g., b-on) are now essential for higher education and research activities. For this reason, we call for the participation not only of those involved in making them available, namely those responsible for IT and library/documentation/archive services, but also decision-makers, namely institutional leaders with responsibility for these areas, as well as those responsible for the implementation of science and those responsible for research units.

The 2019 edition will be held in the Azores, at the Ponta Delgada Campus of the University of the Azores, from May 6 to 8, 2019. Sign up!

The organization recommends that participants take care of their registration in advance, preferably by November 2018, in order to secure flights and accommodation.
