Science and Technology Week 2021

Science and Technology Week 2021 takes place this year from November 22 to 28 and is being marked all over the country with activities promoted by scientific institutions, universities, schools, museums and science centers, in an initiative promoted and coordinated by Ciência Viva.

For a week, researchers and scientists will showcase their work in different areas of science and technology, demonstrating their presence and contribution to people's daily lives and the constant progress and promotion of scientific and technological culture in Portugal.

This year's initiative also marks the 25th anniversary of the creation of the National Day for Scientific Culture, which is celebrated on November 24, a date chosen by the then Minister of Science José Mariano Gago, in honor of science communicator Rómulo de Carvalho, who was born on that day.
